The Part Time Thief and Other Appraisal Stories

From the Inside Out

Sixty-five year old cross dressers?  Bombs?  Venomous snakes?  Murderers? Charging Bison?  Inner City Gangs? Who would have thought the life of an appraiser could be so full of adventures?

When most of us hear the term 'real estate' we think of realtors, banks and mortgage lenders.  Appraisers are those non-descript people who carry a clip board and measuring device, look into your closets and underneath sinks and tell you your house isn’t worth anywhere near what you think it should be.  Right?

I’ve put together twenty-two of my most compelling escapades in this first book: The Part Time Thief and Other Appraisal Stories. There is certainly more to tell but this is a good start. Not many would think that an appraisers life would be full of adventure, but when you consider it, we enter the homes of people we’ve never met and know nothing about.  Who we might meet or what situations we may encounter are different every day.

I've appraised homes in four states: Minnesota, Texas, Wyoming and Montana.  Each had it's own unique flavor and set the stage for experiences almost beyond belief.

Three of these adventures are posted on the website: http://appraisalstories.com/   I hope you enjoy them.  Look for the entire book to be available soon.
